Formed as a boutique TV and radio production house, Bamboo Grove Creative gets its name from an ancient Chinese tale about seven scholars, writers, and musicians who wished to escape the intrigues, corruption, and stifling atmosphere of the Chinese court. The small firm needed an image that paid homage to the name. Small Hat Studio helped to develop a logo and stationery pieces including business cards, note cards, and a matching note card envelope.

The founder of Bamboo Grove Creative was so taken with the outcome, he used the logo to create an animated bumper that is featured at the beginning of every video spot.
