It's been quite a while since our last blog post and Small Hat Studio has been been keeping very busy. Case in point, we've just launched a new line of tanks and t-shirts. Dubbed "M+E Collective", the line is the brainchild of master Olympic lifter Melissa "Mel" Knourek and Eric Venegas.
Mel identified an untapped niche in the athletic apparel marketplace. Like many lifters, Knourek has a professional day job and is a competitive athlete at night, and on weekends. From the witty headlines and fun typography to the cheerful colors and female-specific fits, M+E Collective shirts are designed with women in mind. You won't find any boxy men's shirts or unisex fits here. It's all about the ladies.
The first shirt out of the gate is a limited run of 24 racerback tanks from Next Level Apparel, with the headline "After a hard day at the office, I meet my girls at the bar." This initial limited run will be used to gauge interest and help us determine the best breakdown on sizes to order in the future. Sometimes it's best to start small and that's exactly what we're doing. Based on demand, additions to the line will be introduced in the near future.
For now you can purchase the shirts online at the Square Market. In the meantime, enjoy, let us know if you have feedback or questions, and be on the lookout for new styles.
